Background

Lauren took her first yoga class when she was just 15 years of age. She continued to take yoga classes off and on until she injured her knee training for the Chicago Marathon. Running no longer an option, she began practicing yoga more regularly and found that it gave her body a new physical outlet. Vigorous vinyasa yoga practice allowed Lauren to connect to her body and mind in a way she could only achieve during running.

After her father passed away in 2007, yoga became more than a physical outlet. Lauren began to incorporate meditation and different breathing techniques into her practice. Slowly her practice evolved and became a healing source for her body, mind and spirit.

Lauren took her 200-hour teacher training at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago. Her training was eye-opening and truly was a life-changing experience. She discovered her life’s passion – teaching yoga.
